| Adela stared blankly at Darkest. "And what exactly are we trying to achieve by destroying half the city?" | |

| "Is it really necessary," Knurla spoke his frustrated mind, "That we have to have a 'few hundred people killed'?" He simply asked, and did nothing to try to stop it. Knowing Darkest, this process probrably was mandatory if everyone were to get what they wanted. But he still wanted to hear his reasons. | |

| Laron looked at Adela curiously. What was she asking of him? He pursed his lips and could feel the piercing gaze of the priestess in front of him. He glared at the rider and then looked at Darkest.
"Wouldn't that be a waste considering I have been babysitting your prisoner the whole time? If you need leverage for Knurla, didn't you just release two rogue dragons on the city? Most free dragons do have riders from what I know." The young drow shrugged his shoulders.
"It's really up to you you know..." he said to Adela quietly.

| "What the-" Moth exclaimed, hurriedly drawing up a flame wall between them and the fire. She could see two dragons fighting outside-one was green. Falcydior? No, it didn't have the lighting scar that Falcydior did. ooc: Late post is late. | |

| Laron shrugged. "I personally think it would be a waste. Is she even part of that other group of riders?" The drow glanced at Adela, watching her. "They don't seem to be following us. Wouldn't they come find us if you were a part of their group? Or where is your dragon? As I understand, riders have a mental connection with their dragons. Do correct me if I'm wrong."
The drow stared hard into Adela's eyes, hoping she got the message. His body language said nothing other than gave off a sense of boredom. He didn`t know how to create the mental link like Darkest but he tried.
Just go with it damnit. Do you honestly want a nice mutilated corpse?
Caelia sat unmoving, her eyes closed and in deep concentration. She was muttering in drow under her breathe. Muddling magic.. bloody hell. She wasn't a magician. She was a priestess. Her powers came from her Goddess. I'm doing your bidding my Spider Queen. Chaos, where is better than on the surface? And then when the time comes, I will go back and speak out against those who destroyed the House of Tezaroha. And they will all die.
The priestess felt a tingling sensation through her body, making her body tense. Her one hand glowed lightly and then on it's own accord moved with a sweeping motion, an arc, in front of her. The room chilled for a moment and then a small gust of wind blew through the room, coming from an unseen force. Without asking, Caelia knew that her Goddess had answered her calls, completely removing the trail of magic. She smiled wickedly.

| Stepping back away from Darkest and Adela, Laron begged that his message got across. If she was a rider, where the hell were her friends to help her?
Go with it! Join us instead of them. They left you! Call your dragon!
Caelia looked over curiously from her seat just down the table. She took a bite of her apple and watched.

| Adela didn't bother trying to pull her arm away and avoided Darkest's eyes. Reaching out to her dragon's conscience, she tried to form a mental connection with Jasper. Though she could feel his presence, he was too far away and she failed to communicate with him. Adela tried her best to look calm and guessed where most of them were. "Uh, my dragon says a few are outside, near where we were. He's not sure about the rest." She pressed her lips together, hoping Darkest would believe her. | |

| Knurla did not want to get involved. Instead, he stayed behind-near Darkest's companion, Rallick. His main intentions with following these people were to make sure no extreme... unfair violence acted. He hated unfairness, and he imagined the things he could control if he were guard captain. He still pondered on whether he wanted it or not.
Adela fell on the ground, landing a few feet in front of him. He walked over and helped her up best he could. Didn't bother to ask whether or not she was alright. David was in the city? With who else? That, Moth character? How'd they find them here? How ever they did, they shouldn't have followed them. And judging by Darkest's reaction...they REALLY shouldn't have.

| Adela quickly regained her balance and rushed to Laron's side. "I don't know if it was a good idea to tell him that," she whispered, rubbing her wrist. | |

| Caelia flinched and jumped up from her seat. "What is going on?" she shouted after Darkest's retreating form. She swore violently under her breathe and walked away heading towards a narrow staircase against one of the walls. Peering up it, she walked up the stairs, wanting to get a better glimpse of their surroundings.
Laron glanced over his shoulder at his sister's hurried form and he stepped forward towwards Adela, giving Knurla a appreciative nod for his actions. He waited till they left the room and turned back towards the rider.
"Are you alright?" | |

| Over in the clearing Blaze found herself to be alone. The dragons where still off hunting, and she had no idea where Salah was. She sat herself down on a log and looked around, swinging her legs from boredom. After awhile she got up and started dancing and singing quietly. All in the name of good fun, and boredom. |

| "Yeah, I'm fine." Adela glanced at Caelia. "I'm more worried about what Darkest is going to do..." I hope I was right by saying the others are in the city, Adela thought. She couldn't imagine what Darkest would do if it turned out that she had been wrong. | |

| Laron pursed his lips. "Same..." he said quietly. "I swear he is mental... but humans tend to be with their shorter life spans." The drow cut himself off and paused. And now here, he was talking to a human. How things had changed... --x Sam hurried through the city grabbing the last bits of things she needed. She bought some fruit, dried meat, bread and other foods that would last as well as a couple blankets and a new canteen. Placing everything neatly in the pack she had brought she rushed to the outskirts of the city. Within moments, she was a wolf, racing through the low bushes with the strap of the pack in her mouth. She ran quickly and dashed into the clearing wondering if anyone had returned yet. She couldn't help but feel some anxiety towards Jezzin and Alanna. They could betray them, but then where would they go? Sam growled and curled up comfortably on the ground, still in the shape of a delicate silver wolf. --x "I knew you would follow us," Salah remarked angrily to the man on the black horse. He laughed heartily and the horse snorted and sidestepped, scared slightly of the vampire. The carcass of a deer sat on the ground near by as well as the remains of a fire. Salah having drank the nourishing blood and the man having taken the meat. "Get the hell out of here. You are far too close. You are not one of us..." "I could have been... " came the stony reply. The vampire rolled her eyes. "You know your place.. don't screw it up," Salah said quickly before turning and running away, heading back to the clearing. | |

| Crush this riot, and you may remain. These words haunted Knurla's mind. He looked from Darkest to the main he was talking to. "What riot?"
ooc: are the rushing guards rushing for Knurla?

| Knurla ignored the question and started conjuring up a fireball. If this was what it took to get the position he wanted, he half-didn't want it. But the other half of his mind told Knurla that it would be worth it in the end. He turned outside the place to observe the people scrambling towards the border of the city. Could they really be so desperate as to walk through a wall of fire to escape? He didn't want to take the chance, and shot the fire towards the gates, covering the path in flames. ((Thank yew, Sam and Darkest. )) | |

| Blaze, who had somehow managed to go unnoticed by the three others who just came into the clearing, even though she had been singing and dancing, watched as Jezzin threw a rock at a wolf. A wolf she knew to be as Sam. Blaze stood and watched, she wondered if Sam would attack Jezzin. Probably not, although it would be cool if she did... |

| The rock landed in front of Sam, hitting the ground and bouncing up to hit her nose. Perking her ears, she growled irritably. With no effort at all she heard who it was. Arrogant jerk! Even had I been just an ordinary wolf, I did nothing to even scare them! Getting to her feet slowly as to not scare them, the half morphei took what appeared to be a hesitant step back. Then she sprang forward, covering the distance between her and Jezzin in almost one bound. She leaped up and landed on the man, knocking him to the ground. She spun off him and snarled viciously, her fangs emerging, dainty little points. ---x Salah stood calmly by a tree, just outside of the clearing. She watched the going-ons with mild curiousity. |Are you back?| a voice said in her head. She sent back an affirmation and felt Eldor's satisfaction. |Be right there in a moment.| | |

| Caelia reached the top of the stairs and looked around. It seemed to just be a storeroom. She sighed, her hopes dashed for something more interesting. Oh well. On the far side of the room was what see was looking for. Walking over to the window, the drow peered out to look over her surroundings. A huge city. And devestation a short way away. Darkest's work she pressumed. It was huge. Far bigger than the other surface cities. She pursed her lips and sat down on a box absentmindedly thinking. | |

| Knurla watched Darkest stomp out of the room, and turned to the man in the mask. "Would it really look... wise to promote to captain of the guard someone who takes down a riot by violently beheading them? Or is that the entire meaning behind being Captain?" | |
