Darkest waited until the last second, then, he flowed around blaze, jabbing a dagger towards her ribcage.

Blaze took the blow to her ribs and allowed the blade to slide in. She grabbed Darkest's wrist as it happened, and twisted him around her, hoping to send him flying into something sharp.

Darkest did go flying, but alas, there was nothing sharp to land on. Hard earth wasnt much better though. THere was a loud snap, and darkest lay unmoving on the ground, his chest not moving.

Blaze didn't move. It was probably a trap. As soon as she went over there Darkest would probably jump up and stab her. Instead she asked the shadows to finish him off. The shadows moved up around him, covering him, and pulling him into the earth around him.

Darkest sank into the ground, smiling. Then, he dispursed the shadows and began moving under blaze.
